FEBRUARY WRAPPED: Everything Little Mix Got Up To This Month

February might be the shortest month of the year, but the Little Mix ladies have still managed to squeeze in studio time, solo projects, glitzy events and flights to La-La Land – all while bagging a platinum certification for the group’s greatest hits collection.

Leigh-Anne was the first of the girls to jet off to L.A., sharing pics from the studio and her management offices on Instagram.

Despite “great things” happening for the star, she confided in her followers about feeling “overwhelmed”, adding that she “forgot how lonely being on the road could be”.

She expanded on these feelings in an interview at Warner Music’s pre-GRAMMY party, telling a reporter: “I was in a group called Little Mix and we had each other. So now, being on my own, it’s this whole new world. I think it’s just something that’s going to take time. Obviously I still have [Jade and Perrie] around, but yeah… it’s a minefield.”

Leigh’s emotions didn’t stop her from putting on a brave face however, and she stunned at her label’s event in a RASARIO feather-embellished bralette and draped sequin skirt.

She wowed everybody again days later with her appearance at the ROC Nation pre-GRAMMY Brunch, hosted by Jay-Z and attended by huge industry names, including Beyoncé herself.

Leigh turned heads in a vibrant pink bralette and matching trousers by Valentino. Her hair was styled in another trendsetting crown shape and embellished with decorative chains.

At the event, Leigh-Anne was reunited with Kelly Rowland – former member of Destiny’s Child and the mastermind behind forming Little Mix on The X Factor. The pair shared a loving embrace as they posed for a photo together, with Kelly later declaring her love for Leigh on Instagram.

Leigh-Anne also rubbed shoulders with Halle Bailey, who is one-half of the R&B duo signed to Beyoncé’s label, Chloe x Halle. Because of the singers' links to Kelly and Bey, fans joked on Twitter that the girls are “Destiny’s Grandchildren”.

The following day, Jade attended Sony’s GRAMMY after-party after landing in L.A., but she confessed on Instagram that she was too tired following her flight to get a photo at the event.

Perrie also landed in L.A. the next week, and all three girls have been busy recording solo music during their time there.

Perrie has been in the studio with big-name writers and producers from the pop world, including JHart, Sarah Hudson, Johnny Goldstein and Jason Evigan.

Jason Evigan has worked on several huge hits by numerous recording artists, including pop-rock princesses Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson. Sarah Hudson co-wrote Little Mix’s track 'The National Manthem', Johnny Goldstein co-wrote and co-produced 'Heartbreak Anthem', while JHart worked on their songs 'Power', 'Your Love', 'The National Manthem' and 'My Love Won’t Let You Down'.

Jade has also been recording with JHart, as well as 'Love (Sweet Love)' and 'Cut You Off' co-writer Lauren Aquilina.

And before heading home to the UK (and then jetting off to Paris), Leigh-Anne excitedly dished on Discord that she’d been in the studio with GRAMMY-winning writer and producer Kuk Harrell.

He’s worked on some of the biggest hits of the last decade, including Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’, Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’, and Rihanna’s ‘Work’, ‘Umbrella’ and ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ – the latter being Leigh-Anne’s audition song on The X-Factor.

Sadly, it wasn’t until Leigh-Anne was back in the UK that Perrie and Jade were able to meet up in Los Angeles. The pair went for a Sunday dinner with Perrie’s family and manager, both sharing photos of their reunion to Instagram.

Commenting on Perrie’s post, Jade joked “No one else I’d rather have a Yorkshire with while sweating our tits off”, while Leigh-Anne confirmed the trio’s sisterhood by commenting “FOMO.”

Perrie has been working in L.A. with her manager, Sam Cox.

Meanwhile, Jade has been joined by her stylist, Zack Tate.

Though she hasn’t confirmed what they’re up to, eagle-eyed fans spotted that she began following UnderWonder and several of their producers on Instagram while out in the US. The L.A.-based music video production company has produced videos such as Harry Styles’s 'As It Was', Lil Nas X’s 'MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)' and Sam Smith’s 'I’m Not Here to Make Friends', leading fans to speculate that Jade might be in America to start work on her first music video.

Leigh-Anne has also been on the set of a mystery shoot in the UK, coyly teasing photos of her MUA doing her makeup alongside large racks of clothes.

Her hair stylist shared a snap of the dressing table, saying there’d be “no sneak peaks” of the shoot as it was a “closed set”.

And while on British soil, Leigh even had time to squeeze in appearances at Ebony Riley’s album launch party, Ahluwalia’s London Fashion Week Show and the 2023 BRIT Awards.

After dazzling everyone on the BRITs red carpet and presenting an award for the Group of the Year (two years after winning the award with Little Mix), she whipped fans into a frenzy by confirming during the show that she’ll be releasing new music this year.
